SunoGuard is an independent AI-assisted tool built to answer one question: "Is my Suno AI track safe to release commercially?" It analyzes your track details, subscription tier, prompt, and lyrics against copyright law, Suno's Terms of Service, and distributor policies — then gives you a scored risk report with specific recommendations. It is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
SunoGuard is an AI-powered compliance reference tool. It was created to help everyday Suno AI music creators understand the legal considerations around releasing, monetizing, and distributing AI-generated music — without needing a law degree.
The tool uses Claude (Anthropic's AI) to analyze your track details, Suno prompt, and lyrics against known legal frameworks — including U.S. copyright law, distributor policies, and California privacy law. It gives you a structured risk picture so you know what questions to ask and what risks to address before you release.
What it is not: a licensed attorney, a law firm, a guarantee of legal safety, or an official compliance authority. It is an AI assistant that organizes legal information. AI can and does make mistakes. Always consult a qualified entertainment attorney before making commercial distribution decisions.
Primary (AI Music Release): The Legal Guide is organized around what matters most to a Suno creator — Suno's Terms of Service, U.S. copyright law and AI music, California's AB 2602 voice/likeness law, Right of Publicity, Content ID risk, distributor AI policies, and mechanical/PRO rights. These directly answer "can I release this track?"
Secondary (Website Laws): Because SunoGuard itself is a website serving California users, the guide also covers CCPA/CPRA, CIPA, CalOPPA, ADA accessibility, and cookie consent requirements — but these are clearly labeled as website operation laws, not song release laws.
California is the focus for website laws because it has the strictest requirements in the U.S. Complying with California law covers the core requirements of virtually every other state's privacy law too.
Whether you have a question about a specific analysis, want to report an issue, or are interested in a business partnership — we actually read every message.
SunoGuard ("we," "us," "our") provides AI-assisted compliance analysis tools for creators who use Suno and other AI music platforms. SunoGuard honors Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a valid "Do Not Sell or Share" opt-out request, as required by California law since 2021. When a user visits our site with GPC enabled in their browser, we automatically process it as an opt-out — no additional action is required from you.
GPC is available through the Brave browser natively, and via extensions including Privacy Badger (EFF) for Chrome/Firefox.
SunoGuard does not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. California law still requires us to make this opt-out available:
→ Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
You may also exercise this right by emailing [email protected] or enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser.
SunoGuard is not intended for and does not target children under 13. We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), as updated by the 2026 COPPA rule amendments (effective compliance deadline: April 22, 2026). If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately at [email protected].
We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect your personal information, including HTTPS encryption on all pages, secure payment processing via Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant), and access controls on our systems. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable state attorneys general as required by applicable breach notification laws (all 50 U.S. states have such laws).
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Your continued use of SunoGuard after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
SunoGuard provides AI-assisted compliance analysis tools for creators of AI-generated music. Our reports are informational only. We are not a law firm, we do not provide legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is formed by using this service.
The service is operated independently and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Suno Inc. (Suno AI), Anthropic, or any music distributor or rights organization.
SunoGuard's analysis does not and cannot guarantee:
AI can and does make mistakes. Results are estimates only, not guarantees. Always consult a qualified entertainment attorney or music copyright lawyer before making any commercial decision based on our analysis.
By using SunoGuard, you represent and agree that you:
SunoGuard operates on a token-based system. Tokens are purchased in advance and deducted upon each analysis. Tokens do not expire. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card information.
Tokens are consumed when an analysis completes successfully. If an analysis fails due to a technical error on our end, your token will be automatically refunded to your account balance.
All token purchases are final unless otherwise required by applicable law. Because our analysis reports are delivered digitally and cannot be "returned," refunds are not offered once an analysis report has been successfully delivered.
Exceptions: If you were charged in error, or if a technical failure on our side prevented delivery of a report, contact us at [email protected] within 24 hours. We will review your request and issue a refund or token credit at our discretion.
Your consumer rights under applicable law (including any state consumer protection law) are not limited by this policy.
You retain all rights to the content you submit (prompts, lyrics, track data). By submitting content to SunoGuard, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to process that content for the purpose of generating your analysis report. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it to train AI models.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SunoGuard and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of SunoGuard shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 90 days preceding the claim.
SunoGuard is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific result will be achieved from using our analysis.
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. It affects your legal rights.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to your use of SunoGuard, these Terms, or our Privacy Policy shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), not in court.
Class Action Waiver: You waive the right to participate in any class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against SunoGuard. Claims may only be brought on an individual basis.
Exception: Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if eligible. Either party may seek emergency injunctive relief in court to prevent irreparable harm pending arbitration.
Governing law: State of California. Venue for any court proceedings: Los Angeles County, California.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. To the extent any matter is litigated in court (following the arbitration process or for permitted exceptions), you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email and update the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of SunoGuard after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
SunoGuard provides AI-assisted informational analysis for creators of AI-generated music. We are not a law firm. We are not lawyers. We do not provide legal advice. Nothing on this website, in our reports, in the Mahal chatbot, in the Legal Guide, or in any other content we produce constitutes legal advice or creates an attorney-client relationship.
Specifically, nothing on SunoGuard should be interpreted as:
Our compliance analysis and Mahal chatbot are powered by AI (Claude, developed by Anthropic). AI language models can produce inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or contextually wrong information. The legal landscape around AI-generated music is one of the most rapidly evolving areas of law in the United States. Information that was accurate when written may become outdated within weeks.
Do not make commercial decisions based solely on AI-generated analysis. AI is a tool to help you ask better questions — not a substitute for a qualified attorney.
SunoGuard is an independent tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to:
By using SunoGuard, you acknowledge and agree that:
If any content on SunoGuard references income potential from AI music (streaming royalties, sync licensing, etc.), those references describe general industry possibilities — not guarantees or typical results. Actual earnings from AI-generated music vary enormously and depend on many factors outside our knowledge or control. We make no representations about how much money you will earn.
This site may reference or link to third-party websites (Suno, distributors, legal resources). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. Linking to a third party does not imply endorsement.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information. This right applies even if a business does not currently sell data — you may still request it as an additional protection.
Method 1 — Email: Send an email to [email protected] with subject line "Do Not Sell My Personal Information." Include your name and email address so we can identify your records.
Method 2 — Global Privacy Control: Enable GPC in your browser (Brave browser or Privacy Badger extension). We honor GPC signals automatically as a valid opt-out request.
Method 3 — Cookie Preferences: Decline non-essential cookies through our cookie preference tool. This prevents any analytics data from being transmitted to third parties.
We will respond to opt-out requests within 15 business days as required by CCPA. We will not discriminate against you for exercising this right.
In addition to the right to opt-out, California residents have the right to know, access, delete, correct, and port their personal data. See our full Privacy Policy for complete details, or email [email protected].
All purchases of SunoGuard analysis tokens are final. Because analysis reports are delivered digitally and immediately upon completion, we are generally unable to offer refunds once an analysis has been successfully delivered.
If an analysis fails due to a technical error — including API failures, service outages, or errors on our end — your token is automatically refunded to your account balance. You will see the token credited back immediately. You do not need to contact us for automatic refunds.
We will review refund requests on a case-by-case basis for the following situations:
To request an exceptional refund, email [email protected] within 24 hours of the transaction with your account email and a description of the issue. We will respond within 2 business days.
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law, including California consumer protection statutes. If you believe you have been charged unfairly, you also have the right to dispute the charge with your payment card issuer.
Email: [email protected] (subject: "Refund Request")
Response time: Within 2 business days
